The nine bigger beads are Cornelian, a variety of red chalcedony, found in the Kanchanaburi area of Thailand and date from the later period of  Thai prehistory (from 300 BC to 200 AD). The smaller beads are ancient trade winds ceramic beads made in South-East Asia from the 8th to 14th Century.
The clasp has been cast and hand-knotted in the present time from 9 karat gold and plated with 3 microns 18 carat gold.
